A Thanksgiving Message

November 28th, 2013

I want to once again wish all of my loyal and faithful readers a Happy Thanksgiving. I have much to be thankful for in my life, and I hope I never take any of it for granted. I’d like to thank three ASSTR authors in particular for their kindness and endless patience with me. data.001 maintained my old site for the entire time it was up, even at the expense of his own writing. He never once complained about my obtuseness in all thing IT.

I would also like to thank InvidFan and Jetboy for their enormous help in mentoring me, and helping me improve so much as a writer. I’ve come to see that I love writing as a way of expressing my artistic side. Whatever natural ability I have has been vastly improved by their encouragement, advice and great patience. Thanks to both of you. You’ve both become good friends as well as mentors.

Thanks also for the many friends I’ve made along the way, friends whose support, ideas, input, and love have done much to keep my spirits up. “Sarge” has become a big brother figure to me, someone who always knows just what to say when my feathers are ruffled. His input and suggestions on “Karen and Laci” have been profound indeed. The rest of you know who you are, but I don’t want to use your real names here, and I don’t necessarily know your screen names, but you know who you are.

Finally, I’d like to ask that if you write to me through the ASSTR system, please include you email address. A reader named Darryl sent me a wonderful comment. He raised a few points I found very germane, and I wanted to respond to thank him, and address some of his very valid input. However, an email address wasn’t included. I can address one of his points here. He suggested I update this blog more frequently to keep readers in the loop as far as progress on the next installment of K&L goes. I promise to do my best to update the blog on a weekly basis, even if it’s to rant and rave on a pet peeve, or to offer an observation on some subject related to writing.

Once again, Happy Thanksgiving.
